Manufactured by Girard Transmissions, the new Dynabox XL range offers output torques up to 8000Nm for heavy duty servo applications.
The Dynabox XL can be specified as either Medium or Expert units with five and one arc-minute of backlash respectively.
Additionally the degree of backlash on the Expert unit is easily adjustable down to ZERO (for positioning requirements).
They offer a space-saving design, are quiet / smooth running and maintenance free.

Dynabox gearboxes have three mounting options:
hollow shaft, dual output shaft or single output shaft, and are supplied with a motor mounting flange and a choice of backlash free couplings.
Dynabox ratios are up to 90:1 with continuous output torque to over 800Nm and peak torque up to 2289Nm.
The Dynaset worm / wheel sets used in the gearboxes can be supplied separately for integration into your machinery.
Typical applications will include: machine tools, rotary tables, industrial robots, pick-and-place systems, tracking systems and semiconductor manufacturing.

Highlights
There are two precision levels of the Dynabox gearboxes:
Medium
Backlash is fixed at <5 arc/min.
Expert
Gearbox is supplied with the backlash fixed at <1 arc/min. The backlash can be further adjusted using shims. The worm can be shifted axially by inserting the shims, in order to adjust the backlash to the required amount or to compensate for any possible wear.
The minimum allowable backlash depends on running conditions:
high speed and heavy loads approx. 1arc min
for intermittent running and positioning applications zero backlash is possible by light pre-loading
