Manufactured by Girard Transmissions, the new Dynabox range can be specified as either Basic, Medium or Expert units with ten, five and one arc minute of backlash respectively.
The degree of backlash is adjustable on the Expert version.
They offer a space-saving design, are quiet / smooth running and maintenance free.

Dynabox gearboxes have a number of mounting options:
Hollow shaft - keyed or via taper lock (only keyed for size 25)
Single output shaft (not for size 25)
Dual output shaft (not for size 25)
Robot Flange (not for size 25 & 35)
Dynabox ratios are up to 90:1 with continuous output torque to over 800Nm and peak torque up to 2289Nm.
The Dynaset worm / wheel sets used in the gearboxes can be supplied separately for integration into your machinery.
Typical applications will include: machine tools, rotary tables, industrial robots, pick-and-place systems, tracking systems and semiconductor manufacturing.

Highlights
There are three precision levels of the Dynabox gearboxes:
Basic
Backlash is fixed at <10 arc/min.
Medium
Backlash is fixed at <5 arc/min. Not available on size 25.
Expert
Gearbox is supplied with the backlash fixed at <1 arc/min. The backlash can be further adjusted using shims. The worm can be shifted axially by inserting the shims, in order to adjust the backlash to the required amount or to compensate for any possible wear. Not available on size 25.
The minimum allowable backlash depends on running conditions:
